I've got a personal preference towards the US Army Combat Armor- ignoring that the stats are below par for Lonesome Road gear (or even DLC gear in general), it looks pretty neat, especially when paired with the Survivalist's Rifle from Honest Hearts. the list goes on and on, and that's before we factor in mods and how a given set of armor's visuals appeal to you.

The stuff is more fragile than both the other available sets of powered armor and it weighs the same as T-45d Powered Armor, while giving the same Strength bonus as T-51b. The closest one gets to objectively the best armor in the base game is the Remnants Power Armor, and that's only if one takes DT into account. The problem is that you're just not going to find one.
